Imprint Holiday Hours 2009

Wow. 2009 nears its end... and what a year it's been. We've undergone some big changes here at Imprint this past year.

In April, our new full color press was installed, and it's been a champ ever since. Shortly after, we started printing and finishing vinyl labels in house. We've introduced some new 7" jacket options, some new 10" jacket options, new lower prices on popular items, and we're not done yet! Look for a newly redesigned website, some new pricing and a new customer login that allows for you to track your order as it makes it way through production.

As always, we will be closing between Christmas and New Years. So, here's our production schedule. Keep these dates in mind as you prepare your upcoming projects.

• CD Replication Orders - Orders received after November 30, 2009 will not ship until the new year.
• Standard, Print Only Orders - Orders received after December 7, 2009 will not ship until the new year.

Contact Walter if you have special conditions, and he'll do his best to help.

Also, I just want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone we've worked with this year. We are looking forward to 2010, and are excited about what it will bring!

The Facebook, new website design, etc.

Yes, Imprint is on The Facebook... and you can find Imprint on The Facebook here. I hope you'll come over, become a fan, join in a discussion, post a pic of yourself and your awesome CD project, LP jacket, 7" jacket, and so on and so forth...

Also, Imprint is hard at work on a complete website redesign, as well as a new ordering process complete with customer login for order tracking, up to the minute information, etc. Keep an eye out for that in the coming month...

In other news, Brad and Bryan are going to see The Decemberists tonight. Should be good fun. If you're going to be there, let a brother know...

August already? My thoughts turn to vinyl...

Here we are, in August... The 8th month of a 12 month year... Today is the 4th day of this 31 day month... I'm currently in hour 10, minute 50 of a 24 hour day... What is my point? Don't have one really, other than to say that LP labels are pretty sweet, and if you need some you should click here and place an order for some.

LP jackets are really pretty cool too, you know? Vinyl is making a comeback in a big way, and it's pretty sweet that you can get jackets, inserts and labels all right here at Imprint. We can even direct towards great places to get your vinyl pressed... and since we work closely with vinyl pressing plants, we're happy to ship your jackets, inserts and labels directly to the plant for you, so everything can be finished and shipped to you all ready to go.

Anyway, that's what was on my mind today.

Up and running...

The new press is in place, and running like a champ. Print is looking better than ever, and coming off fast and steady. Big love to Hamada-guru Dave, for all his zen-like guidance and direction. As the backlog of orders comes off, and new orders take their place, we're excited about 2009 and all the goodness it hopes to bring.

Another new piece of equipment is on a truck, and heading towards Imprint HQ.... more information on that, as we near its arrival.

In other news, Bob Mould, of Hüsker Dü fame, has a new record out... I've been listening to it, and trying to get a feel for it. Bob is great, saw him play a few years ago here in Sarasota. Also looking ever so forward to the new Sonic Youth record, gonna be doing the Buy Early Get Now deal through Matador Records myself, maybe you should give it a shot?

The day fast approaches...

Imprint will be having a new 4 color press installed on Monday, March 16 2009. We're frantically prepping the warehouse and office, doing a lot of moving and cleaning and lifting and setting down... It's tough work, but we're really looking forward to getting this new machine up and running!

I'd like to send out big props to our head pressman in charge (HPiC), Brett, as he has been busting his butt to get extra work out in anticipation of our slight downtime. He's been working nights and weekends, and just generally kicking ass. Thanks Brett! You da man!!!

So, that said, after today, our phones will be down Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Monday, March 16, 2009... We'll be back in the office, Tuesday, March 17, 2009. But don't think we'll be out partying over the weekend, we'll be hard at work with even more prep work, and working with our electrician friends as we get everything wired and ready to go.

I'd also like to thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding during this big move... We've got some great people we work for/with, and we're thankful for them everyday.

EQUIPMENT UPGRADE, PLEASE READ!

Imprint will be undergoing an equipment upgrade, and will be closed Monday, March 16, 2009. We will have no phone service from Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Monday, March 16, 2009. If you have any questions, or concerns, you can email us, and we will respond as soon as possible. We will return to normal operating hours on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
