Another year past... already? As we get ready to say good-bye to 2011, please keep in mind Imprint's holiday schedule.

Imprint will be closed from December 26, 2011 - December 30, 2011.

New website? Finally?! Yes...

So, it's true... the new website has finally launched. It's been in the works for what seems an eternity... It's not completely done yet, there are always kinks to be worked out, but it's up and running, and looks great (we think) and is ready to be used and abused.

So, what's new on the site? First off, the way orders are placed is all new. In order to place an order, you need to create a user account. With this account, you will be able to log in to the site, place orders, upload artwork, check order status, etc. etc. Also, all of the templates have been upgraded and updated. Check out the templates here.

To create a user account, just click here, and fill out the appropriate fields. It's really quite simple. Then to place an order, just navigate to the item you're looking to order on the site, then click the "Order Now!" link at the bottom of the page. After your order is placed, you will be able to upload artwork via a Flash based uploader right on the site, or you can use an FTP application to connect to our FTP and upload the artwork that way... whatever makes you happy. ;)

So, that's it for now. The new site... In the future, look for a new ordering system, which will allow you to price items, and place orders, all by using a sweet "wizard" style form... Should be lovely...

2010... the year we make contact...

Soon, very soon... quite soon.... Imprint will be launching a new website. A new website with lots of new features, new design, new options, new offers, new, new, new... Sometimes though, life gets in the way of living, and work gets in the way of working. We've been keeping quite busy working on some really great projects, and putting final touches on the new site, complete with customer login, etc. etc.

All that said, (and since it is 2010) be sure to check out our new 10" jacket offerings. We have a folder option and a pocket option, just like our 7" jackets. They're quite nice, and everyone knows that 10" records are badass. We're also printing 10" center labels now, for your 10" vinyl goodness... Hop to it!

In other news, I picked up a Krooked Zip Zinger late last year, and have been doing a little skating... Good times. What have you been up to lately?

Imprint Holiday Hours 2009

Wow. 2009 nears its end... and what a year it's been. We've undergone some big changes here at Imprint this past year.

In April, our new full color press was installed, and it's been a champ ever since. Shortly after, we started printing and finishing vinyl labels in house. We've introduced some new 7" jacket options, some new 10" jacket options, new lower prices on popular items, and we're not done yet! Look for a newly redesigned website, some new pricing and a new customer login that allows for you to track your order as it makes it way through production.

As always, we will be closing between Christmas and New Years. So, here's our production schedule. Keep these dates in mind as you prepare your upcoming projects.

Also, Imprint is hard at work on a complete website redesign, as well as a new ordering process complete with customer login for order tracking, up to the minute information, etc. Keep an eye out for that in the coming month...

The day fast approaches...

Imprint will be having a new 4 color press installed on Monday, March 16 2009. We're frantically prepping the warehouse and office, doing a lot of moving and cleaning and lifting and setting down... It's tough work, but we're really looking forward to getting this new machine up and running!

I'd like to send out big props to our head pressman in charge (HPiC), Brett, as he has been busting his butt to get extra work out in anticipation of our slight downtime. He's been working nights and weekends, and just generally kicking ass. Thanks Brett! You da man!!!

So, that said, after today, our phones will be down Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Monday, March 16, 2009... We'll be back in the office, Tuesday, March 17, 2009. But don't think we'll be out partying over the weekend, we'll be hard at work with even more prep work, and working with our electrician friends as we get everything wired and ready to go.

I'd also like to thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding during this big move... We've got some great people we work for/with, and we're thankful for them everyday.

Random Thoughts, and New LP Jacket Templates...

My, it's been a long time since the last update. I know Wally is working hard on getting the next "Phat Vegan" recipe ready, and perhaps if we're lucky, Brandon will bless us with a story about his recent trip to Japan. Me? I can tell you about my new Mark Gonzales adidas shoes if you want.

Anyway, I just updated the templates for LP jackets. There was a very slight change in the standard LP jacket, so best to use this new template when setting up your files.

The time is near... A tradition that began more than a few years ago is expanding into something even more beautiful. It started out with my fascination of the song 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' by Dean Martin... Then it evolved into repeated listenings of said tune... Then it expanded into days of only listening to 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'... Now it's come to this...

The 12 Business Days of 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' will begin Thursday, December 6, 2007. Starting on that day we will begin a festivity of epic proportions... The song will be repeated ad nauseum in the office, and will be our exclusive telephone hold music. At one time our goal was to listen to this song 666 times in a row (because doing things 666 times is funny, right?)... Now it's simply about The 12 Business Days of 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'.

Imprint is now offering Audio Mastering!!!

Audio mastering is the final, and possibly the most important, phase of your recording. We are happy to now offer in house, affordable mastering to add that little extra your recording needs before being replicated.

Normalizing / Volume Leveling
Normalizing/Volume Leveling is typically for compilations or albums comprising songs from multiple, already mastered, recordings. This will enhance the AVERAGE volume of each song to be closer to each other.
$60 up to 30 minutes of audio ($2 per additional minute)

Dynamic Mastering + Normalizing / Volume Leveling
Dynamic Mastering + Normalizing/Volume Leveling is getting a full master of your recording. This is greatly recommended and adds new ranges, fullness and additional volume to your recording. Ideal for compilations, as well to uniform the sound.
$150 up to 30 minutes of audio ($2 per additional minute)

CD Text
CD Text can be written to a CD so that album notes, engineers, producers, recording studios, and other information will be viewable in cars with CD Text and on computers using programs that support CD text.
$3 per track

Read from DAT, Vinyl or Cassette
We are able to extract your audio from a DAT, vinyl or cassette if need be for purposes of mastering, or simply to give you a CD copy of your work.
$50

Full Color CD Labels Upgraded to Offset Printing... FREE!

Starting immediately all full color (CMYK) CD labels will upgraded to offset printing at no additional charge! That's FREE!

Offset printing offers the best possible quality for CD labels. In terms of numbers, offset printing is 175 lines per inch (vs. 85-135 lines per inch for silkscreen)... What does this mean? Well, the more lines per inch, the better (smoother & clearer) the printing looks! Sounds good to me.

We are also going direct to plate on our CD labels now, so that means even better quality than film to plate output (1 less generation). I think the new CD labels look amazing, and I'm confident you're going to agree!

You don't have to do anything to receive the free upgrade to offset printing... Simply place an order with a full color CD label, and the disc will be offset printed... It's that easy!
